Recently TripAdvisor has started adding warning messages about the truthfulness of some comments on its destinations and accommodations.
It is very likely that nobody will be surprised that hoteliers and other interested parties create users to add false experiences in order to offer a washed image of their hotel or company. Surprising, however, the sincerity of portals such as TripAdvisor that warns about possible fraud in their comments.
The message is not found on the home page but only in those entries where a predictably false comment or experience has been detected.
The message from TripAdvisor is as follows:
TripAdvisor has reason to believe that this establishment or individuals associated with it have tried to manipulate our popularity index interfering with the impartial nature of our criticisms. Please keep this in mind when planning your trips.
Without a doubt, a good warning for all those who value artificial makeup more than taking good care of their clients.
