The International Bureau of Cultural Capitals is conducting an open vote to designate the 10 treasures of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Spain.
What exactly is an intangible cultural heritage? Well, it is a term defined by Unesco as:
the uses, representations, expressions, knowledge and techniques that communities, groups and, in some cases, individuals recognize as an integral part of their cultural heritage
Go, a party, a tradition, a typical dance, a song ... The richness of history and cultures is really intangible and vast.
You have until June 28 to vote.
Among the 45 candidates we find the road to Santiago, the song of the Sibil·la de Mallorca, the carnivals of Cádiz and those of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the Corpus Christi of Toledo, the Moors and Christians of Alcoy, the Day of Sant Jordi, the Fallas of Valencia, the April Fair of Seville, the fair of the Horse of Jerez de la Frontera, the Patum de Berga and the Sanfermines.
