After this stop, we return to the road and cross Veruda to reach Verudela where a Youth Hostel Highly recommended for its location. It is literally waking up by the sea. In addition, my friend Manu stayed there and told me that it is a good hostel in terms of benefits and price.
We were stopping every bit, taking photos and taking a look at the map since the route is not very well signposted and it is easy to get confused.
After passing through the coast of Verudela, we returned to the interior, connected with Route 2 and passed through Vinkuran to turn shortly afterwards to Bagnole. The town is not worth it and we just stopped at a supermarket to buy some more fruit, water and some basic diving goggles that allowed us to see the varied underwater life that we could observe from the shore.
The heat tightened and the kilometers were making a dent in our legs. There was still the hardest part of our way to Premantura -the natural park that we set ourselves at the beginning of the day - the stretch between Bagnole and Premantura, which includes a dirt and stone track that our butts would remember for several days. And I wonder, how did we endure so much on the bike when we were little?
We finally arrived and the reward was much better than we thought. Natural beaches carved into the rock, Mediterranean vegetation licking the coast, crystalline waters, total peace and awesome underwater wildlife. All this you find in Premantura, a place where you lie in the sun, enjoy life and abandon yourself to your own thoughts.
Admission to the park is free if you access by bike, with cars and motorcycles paying a small amount not exceeding 5 euros.
The return was made by road and we arrived in Pula when it was dark, busted but happy. Without a doubt, our best day in the Croatian adventure.
