Apparently, 30 kilometers of the discovered wall is in very good condition and dates from the second century BC, at the time of the Warring States. This is precisely the time when the first foundations of the Great Wall were built under the mandate of the first Chinese emperor, Qin Shihuang, joining previous buildings to defend themselves against the waves of their enemies in northern China.
I was lucky to visit an area of the Chinese Wall still in the wild in Huanghua. Nowadays, almost all the visitable places on the wall are controlled and, in many cases, you can only step on an area that has already been remodeled by the government.
Without a doubt, it is great news for those who visit China soon and want to enjoy the Chinese Wall in its most natural state: without flags, tails or impeccable cobblestones.
